Hobbyist photographer. Chocoholic, Nature lover, Girl dad and Husband.

Like many photographers, I stumbled into the craft by accident. As a teenager, I had my sights set firmly on flying fighter jets, not fiddling with cameras. But a quirk in the school timetable meant I needed one more subject — and the only slot left was photography. I wasn’t impressed. In fact, I dragged myself kicking and screaming into class… until the darkroom worked its magic. Watching an image slowly appear in the developer tray, I couldn’t help but grin. Against my better teenage judgment, I was hooked.

I saved up for my first camera, a clunky little SLR, and shot anything that stood still (and quite a lot that didn’t). I was terrible, but gloriously enthusiastic.

Years later, I did make it into the Air Force — not in a jet, but up in the control tower — and by then digital cameras had arrived. The freedom to shoot and learn without bankrupting myself on film was a game-changer, and I slowly found my eye drifting toward landscapes: trees, hills, clouds, water. The big, quiet things.

In 2015, after a pause, I picked the camera back up with fresh energy. A new city, a new camera, and suddenly photography was less hobby and more heartbeat again. That’s what brings me here: sharing these images, shaped by time, place and a deep love for wild landscapes. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoy making them.
